NEVRUZ
MARCH 21st @ parking area
Nevruz is originated from the Persian Islam New year and we also cereblate as Kyrgyz New Year.
City Hall had an event to celebrate with the Kyrgyz traditional music and dance. We treated traditonal drink "sumolok" for our people and pray for our happiness and prosperity of our country. The competition of Boz-Ui(yurt) was held and 8 group competed for the buitifulness of the Boz-Ui(yurt) and quality of Kyrgyz traditonal food!

JAPAN day
May 3rd @Ruh-Ordo
Japnese embassy held the Japanese festival at Ruh Ordo. Japanese drum and culture workshops fascinated audience! It was only 2hours show but so many people came and join this event.
We hope Kyrgyzstan and Japan's relationshops will be stronger and last forever!
Victory Day
May 9th @ Cholpon-Ata park
The year of 2015 is the 70th anniversary of the Great patoriotic war against Nazi. We constructed new moument at the park and dedicated a wreath for the repose of the soldier's soul. People sweared that they never enter another war and pray for the world peace.
Public employers and students in Cholpon-Ata marched through the city. Some participant performaned on the street and they entertain the audience. After the march, we had a small party for the veterans and elderly people. We praise for them and thank to their effort for the prosperity of our country.
New Year's event
December 24-30th @park & schools
At the end of December, we have several New Year’s event in schools and parks. Kyrgyz national New Year is not on the 1st of Janary but for addapting the global standard and Orthdox Christmas, we celebrate New Year on this period. Ayaz ata(Santa Claus) gave presents to our children and not only children but also adult enjoy this special holiday very much!
SUBBOTONIK
Every saturday from March to May
Every Saturday from March to May, City Hall staff gatherd and cleaned the city. This is called Subbotonik that is the volunteer work at the working place. The route is from the Soviet era and most of the public institutes still have this custom in Kyrgyzstan.
On 4th of April, we planted trees to protect the enviroment of Lake Issyk-Kul as en ecology campaign “Issyk-Kul –homeland of fir, archa and poplar”. At the campaign, we planed 20000 plants of various sorts in 12 Village and city in Issyk-Kul ragion. Orgnaizer believe, if every resident plants a tree, Issyk-Kul becomes more blooming and prosperous place in Kyrgyzstan!
