Wonderful experience in Cholpon-Ata!
Cholpon-Ata is well-know as a summer resort which is located in the northen coast of Lake Issyk-Kul. Lake Issyk-kul is famous for its clearness and rich minerals. Because of that, many tourist come from all Central Asia to take madical treatment even in winter.
We have not only good beaches but also historical places and tracking site. Cholppon-Ata was the part of the Great silk road, so you can feel the prosperity of the old days.

Beaches
There are several beaches in Cholpon-Ata and most popular one is in the Goluboi Issyk-Kul. Many shops and accomondations open near the Golboi-Issyk-Kul and it is convenient for the tourists.
The others are also good location and some of the middle size pensions have private beaches.
The best time to swim is in the EVENING. The water tempareture is suitable for swimming and there are less people. You can enjoy swimming until 9pm in the high seasons.
Please note that the facilities of beach are not good(we do not have shower) , so we reccomend you to wear swim suits and take a shower at your hotels.
Horse racing and Horse riding
Just 10 munites ride a car, you can see the Hippodrome at the right side. You can enjoy horse riding with cheap price in the evening. Nearby it, there is a former Stud farm with many horses. That scenery represent Kyrgyzstan.
Moreover, horse racing and music conserts are held in the Hippodrom in summer(Some event are free of charge!.) World nomad comppetion was also held here in 2014 and it will be held 2016. Do not miss those unique opportunities!

Music
Restraunts and Bars
In summer, thousand of restaurants, bars and cafes open with good atmosphare! They open from early morning and some of restaurants open until midnight. There are clubs and bars( but not in the city center) , so you can enjoy night life as well.
Restraunts serve many kinds of cusins such as Russian, Chinese( mainly Dun-Gan cuisine which is Muslim Chinese food) and Central Asian food. Some of restraunt have breakfast and you can start your day with delicious meal and good atmosphare. Most of the restaurant are located in Sovetskaya St. and Goriky St. Some of in the Cholpon-Ata bazar as well.Unfotrunatelly, we do not have Cholpon-Ata's specific cusine but the great view of Lake Issyk-Kul should be the best food of Cholpon-Ata.
